Addo Reach and Hein's Cottage, is situated in Alicedale and just an hour from Port Elizabeth, on excellent access roads. Hein's Cottage, a cosy home-from-home, fully equipped to guarantee your comfort and privacy, and there are three comfortable bedrooms (with own entrance) in the main house aka Addo Reach. Ours is a non-smoking establishment inside, but the garden is big where we are also able to host a camper or two having just completed a splendid shower and toilet facility, with the added advantage of an undercover braai on the veranda. This is a secure, small town, in the heart of 1820 Settler Country. Surrounded by Addo Elephant Park, Kwantu, Pumba, and Scotia, to name but a few, all offering excellent game viewing, including The Big Five and being malaria-free you are assured of choices in what to do. The historic and picturesque town of Grahamstown, the City of Saints, hosting among other things the famous Grahamstown Festival every year in June/July, is very much a part of Frontier Country which oozes with history. Regrettably our Golf Course is closed for the moment - mixture of drought and management, BUT WATCH THE SPACE for ifv golf is your game, the challenging 18-hole Gary Player Golf Course is within walking distance. Whilst waiting for this event tohappen, the area offers excellent opportunities to use your mountain bike, take long and safe walks ..... or indeed, you could just relax, sleep late, read, paint, .... just be far from the madding crowd!! With advice at time of reservation, we are able to cater breakfast and dinner (at an extra charge), would be happy to organise braai packs for you, and do basic shopping in time for your arrival. Our is a laid back space, but we guarantee the warmest of welcomes and look forward to the opportunity of proving that to you!!!
