Just off the River House's veranda, you'll find the Laaiplek slipway, where locals launch their fishing boats and return from sea with their catch of the day. The large zig-zag door open up the river side of the house and expand the living area to outside! Probably the area where guests spend most of their time, the veranda features a large wind sheltered braai and ample space to relax and watch yachts go by on the Berg River. The large wooden deck is perfect for outdoor breakfasts and lazing in the afternoon sun. The open mezzanine floor loft poses as TV/DSTV lounge with 2 single beds and its own shower/toilet.
