An unusual work of art in the heart of Hlotse, Leribe, Lesotho. Naleli (meaning 'Star') Guesthouse is thatched & styled in traditional Cape Dutch elegance. This home offers a unique combination of classical & ultra-modern facilities. Naleli Guesthouse is located in Hlotse (in Leribe), 94km from the Lesotho principal’s town is Maseru & 21km from Ficksburg Bridge (South Africa). The town was founded in 1876 when the resident magistrate & an Anglican missionary were granted permission to build by the local chief; Hlotse was an important town during Lesotho’s colonial era & remains one of the kingdom’s larger centres Our air-conditioned rooms sleep 2-4 guests. It features en-suite bathrooms, a microwave, a fridge/bar fridge, coffee/tea facilities, and a TV with selected DStv channels. Our conference venue comes with an overhead projector and flip charts. With enough space to accommodate over 40 delegates, our corporate events also offer breakfast for guests. Facilities include complimentary beverages on arrival, and a complimentary coffee and tea station. English and continental breakfast are included as well as secure parking. The town has an interesting military history. The small fort at the mission was often under siege by the Basotho during the Gun War of 1880 - 1881. Major Bell's Tower is part of the original fort & remains a landmark on the main street.
