Utopia at Springerbaai Eco Estate This beautiful appointed thatched holiday home is located on a tranquil estate close to nature and surrounded by Fynbos. The house is located about 27 km from the famous coastal town Mossel Bay on the Garden Route and 400km from Cape Town. The nearby George airport is a mere 65 km away. There is an abundance of birdlife, like the famous Blue Crane, Secretary bird, Herron etc. One can spend hours at the Bird hide located adjacent to a dam. There are also Zebras, Bontebok, Springbok and lots of other animal species. Watch the Southern Right Whales and Dolphins during the winter months June – October in the bay. This is the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Sitting on the veranda and admiring the fantastic sea view can be a favourite pastime. One can relax or stroll along the sea on a clean sandy beach for kilometres, which is only 500m away along a boardwalk. Watch the sunrise or sunset, and the stars on a clear night as there is no pollution. We generate our own electricity which is enough to use a microwave, small appliance etc. and there is definitely no load shedding. Cooking is done on a large gas stove and there is hot water available through gas geysers. As an Eco Estate There are no street lights, motorbikes, Quad bikes and pets are a no, no. Only indigenous plants are on the estate, no noisy lawnmowers and edge trimmers. The house is a self-catering unit and has a fully equipped large modern kitchen with an island and a separate scullery with a double sink. The comfortable living, dining, bar area are open plan with a fireplace. TV is available and is connected to DSTV and media box. There is free Wi-Fi available. The braai facility is accessible both from inside and outside. 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms can sleep, 8 people. There are 3 beautiful bathrooms and 1 guest toilet. Linen and towels are provided. Please take note that the owners are residing on the property in a separate cottage (above the garage) and won't intrude on your privacy. Stairs: the property is double volume, for safety keep an eye on small children.
