Langdam-in-Koo guest farm is situated 38 km from the historic town of Montagu. We offer self-catering accommodation. On the farm you can hike the Langeberg, mountain bike tracks from 6-60 km. We offer swimming in the dams, bass fishing, star gazing, bird watching and relaxation. We can accommodate 29 guests in suites and cottages sleeping 2-8 guests and 42 guests camping/caravaning. Children love the farm atmosphere and free range animals wandering around the farm. Our accommodation is self catering & all cottages / suites are fully equipped with all the necessary facilities for you to cook indoors or outdoors. All you need to bring is your food, your sunscreen & yourselves. Optional extras to bring include- your mountain bike, hiking shoes, your swimwear, your camera & anything else you can think of because you're going to have a wonderful stay with us, doing as much as you wish. We highly recommend that you bring your stress too, just so that you can leave it behind at the end of your stay! Our self-catering suites / cottages sleep between 2- 8 guests. They are self contained & fully equipped. All bed linen, crockery & utensils are provided. They are romantic with indoor fireplaces or dover stoves and outdoor braai areas. All have wonderful views. Some of the cottages have televisions and to watch all you need to bring is your primary decoder and smart card. If you forget something, we have a shop on the farm for basic provisions and we sell wood, ice, cool drinks, airtime etc.. Glamping / Safari tents: Hidden in the woods, this scenic piece of land has been specially set aside for Glam Camping which has 10 tents set up amongst the trees, spread around Pine Tree Cabin. The Cabin serves as the shared entertainment area and ablution block with four toilets for the campsite and 2 hot water showers, built-in antique cast iron dover stove, seating and tables, and a place to prepare food and wash dishes. There is a loft space in Pine Tree Cabin, where hikers and bikers can sleep overnight after a grueling day of trekking on the Langeberg mountains. Each Safari tent sleeps two guests. We have 7 units with double beds and 3 units with 2 single beds, perfect for a family of four. The tents are 3m by 6m in diameter and come fully equipped with electricity, lighting, kettle, tea & coffee and the basics. Each unit has braai facilities and any other other cooking can be done in Pine Tree cabin which has a fridge, microwave, gas stove burners and the essential cooking utensils. All linen and bath towels are provided. We have many walking, hiking & mountain bike trails for you to explore, just remember to bring strong shoes & your bike! You can traverse along a river carved gorge, through our orchards or up the Langeberg mountains. Or you can relax & swim in your choice of dams- we have a natural, mountain water dam. Take a leisurely 30 minute drive through Burger's Pass to our historic town of Montagu. Here you can sample some wine tasting, visit our local Farmer's Market on a Saturday, wander through a Nature Garden & admire the Sacred Ibis who've made it their home. Or you can browse our local museum, play a round of golf and sample some of our local restaurants. Or just relax at Montagu Hot Springs. Enjoy a trip on Montagu's famous Tractor rides & Potijke at a nearby neighbours or kloof at another neighbours. We also have quad biking & paint balling nearby. Or just chill & relax with a glass of wine on your stoep & enjoy Langdam's peaceful scenery.
