The Country House is situated on an Olive Farm in the Breede River Valley between the historical towns of McGregor, Bonnievale, and the popular Robertson Winelands. An olive grove of 3 000 mature olive trees, fynbos and renosterveld - home to the blue Crane, picturesque river banks, shady forests and spectacular mountains are there for you to explore. The Country House is ideal for families and for romantic getaways, this restored Karoo-Georgian country house offers three large en-suite bedrooms; spacious living areas; an open fireplace; well-equipped kitchen; wide verandas; a plunge pool and shady picnic areas. Riverside picnics, hiking trails, mountain climbing and biking, bird watching, country road drives, wine tasting routes, olive picking in season, stargazing, champagne air. GENERAL Please note that we do have a TV Screen and Dish but you have to bring your own decoder and smart card. 2 x 5-litre Bottles drinking water will be supplied but bring extra drinking water in bottles if you do not want to drink the drinkable brown water from the taps. We are approx. 18kms from the village of Bonnievale and 23kms from McGregor with some of SA's top wine farms within a 15min drive. From the wide patios enjoy breathtaking views of the valley, the mountains and groves. Hidden in the olive grove alongside is the Hartbeeshuisie, Cottage with its own lounge, kitchenette, and en-suite bedroom.
