Nestling in a misty green valley amidst and the dramatic mountains of Mpumalanga, the historic town of Sabie is an ideal base from which to explore one of South Africa's top tourist destinations, the Panorama Route. The Panorama Route meanders through magnificent scenery strewn with waterfalls and unique geological formations, excellent hiking, birding and fishing and easy access to the wildlife of the Kruger National Park. Visit the many arts and crafts centres, museums and historical sites in the area. Our namesake, Jock of the Bushveld, the runt bull-terrier taken on and made legend by Sir Percy Fritzpatrick, was born in the Kruger National Park. Following his routes would make interesting travelling to visitors.
