As a native German, I bought the Thokozani Lodge with my wife back in 2009 and we emigrated directly to South Africa. Thokozani Lodge is a small, country-style, thatched guest house offering accommodation in charming houses nestled in a subtropical garden with huge old trees and palms. The guest house also offers a pleasant, private and family atmosphere and is situated in the heart of the Lowveld, only 6 km from White River and just a 30-minute drive from the Kruger National Park. The guest house offers accommodation in rooms and bungalows with single beds, doubl or twin beds. All rooms and bungalows are en-suite, and are furnished with handmade, wooden, rustic-style furniture. All beds have mosquito nets to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep, and each room has a separate entrance and a lovely view of the garden. Enjoy your breakfast in the dining room, or if you prefer, on the terrace in the garden. The garden is a paradise for a wide variety of birds, and guests can enjoy lovely views over the White River valley. Guests can cool off in the swimming pool or relax on deck chairs under a thatched shelter. Guests are welcome to walk around the farm or stroll down to the banks of the White River. Watch the birds, lizards, mongoose, rock and water monitors, or simply lie on the rocks and relax. There is a selection of games, as well as a billiard room. Enjoy a drink on the terrace while watching the sunset, or sit round the fireplace under the stars, and listen to the sound of the bush crickets or the call of the wood owl. With our PV-System with back-up we are able, even if only limited, to supply our lodge with electricity. On request we will serve you with a delicious continental breakfast.
