In 2022, The Butterfly Villa Suites were created from our sincere desire to share the spectacular views, warm village hospitality and rich natural life of the Kogelberg Biosphere with our beloved guests. We took the entire 207m² ground floor of The Butterfly Villa and renovated and decorated it with the help of local artists. The result is a spacious 4-bedroom space with a warm and vibrant character, filled with beautiful local artwork. Booking the Butterfly Villa Suites both together gives you exclusive & private use of the entire ground floor of The Butterfly Villa. Dual Jacuzzis, dual patios, endless ocean and mountain views, only 500m from the beach. Book both spacious suites for complete privacy and wrap yourself in the warm and vibrant environment, filled with beautiful local artwork. As a whole, the Suites comfortably sleep up to 6 adults and 3 children, with an extra double sofa bed in the lounge for two more. We’ve thoughtfully designed every detail to ensure your privacy and comfort. Each of our four bedrooms—three with queen-sized beds and one with a cozy bunk bed—has a door opening to a private outdoor space. ​You’ll find rest easy here. We’ve chosen every piece of linen with care, creating beds so plush and inviting that many guests tell us they’re the most comfortable they’ve ever slept in. The main bedroom (our unique Glass Suite) features a private en-suite bathroom. The remaining three bedrooms share two additional bathrooms: one with a shower and basin, and another with a toilet and basin. ​Ready to gather for a meal? Our kitchen is fully equipped for you to prepare a feast, or you can simply relax and let a recommended private chef handle everything, from a simple dinner to a special celebration. Filtered drinking water is always provided for your convenience. What makes The Butterfly Villa Suites truly exceptional is the large terrace that runs along the entire front of the property, from which the 270° view over the Kogelberg mountains and False Bay is simply breathtaking. We’ve made this outdoor space even more special by installing two private Jacuzzis and by building a giant fire pit with seating nestled in the fynbos. The open-plan lounge and kitchen/dining area (with indoor fireplace) flows naturally onto the al-fresco lounge on the terrace (all patios can be enclosed with exterior blinds for more privacy or to keep the wind out). The Butterfly Villa Suites are all on one level with passages and a bathroom wide enough for a wheelchair, there is just one small step at the entrance. Off-street parking is available behind a secure, gated entry with sufficient space for up to 6 vehicles. The electric fence also serves the purpose of keeping the baboons at a healthy distance. The Butterfly Villa Suites can be rented as a whole, or book the GLASS SUITE or FAMILY SUITE for a smaller group. The Glass Suite sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children on pop-out mattresses on the floor. The Family Suite sleeps 4 adults and 2 children (with a possible 2 more on a sofa bed in the lounge). Please note that the top floor of the Butterfly Villa is reserved for private use. The Butterfly Villa is pet friendly, with some exceptions. Please check with us before arriving. The Butterfly Villa is all on one level with passages and a bathroom wide enough for a wheelchair, there is just one small step at the entrance. The Butterfly Villa is a 5-minute walk from the beach and a choice of great restaurants and shops in the village of Pringle Bay. Activities in the area include sandboarding, kayaking, biking, Blue Flag beaches, surfing, boogie boarding, stand-up paddle-boarding (SUP), swimming and numerous walking trails. Pringle Bay is situated in the UNESCO Kogelberg Biosphere, and guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of local wildlife from the kitchen, dining room and patio or go for a short drive to Stony Point Penguin Colony or the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden in Betty's Bay.
