Oude Wellington Estate is right in the middle of the Winelands. All attractions, including the two Oceans, Cape Town and Mountains are just an hours drive away. Many locals commute daily to Cape Town, because of Wellington's safe and central location in the Winelands. Imagine a historical Cape Dutch Estate of 1790 with massive whitewashed walls and gables, a romantic rustic restaurant inside a working distillery and rooms facing vineyards mountains or gardens combining the old charm with comfort. The Oude Wellington Restaurant, on the same premises but a separate business, requests your reservation for lunch or dinner and offers culinary inspirations of classic cuisine by the chef . Enjoy daily changing specials, soups and deserts. We are proud of being popular with the locals. Be seated under shady oak trees or inside next to the distilling cellar with big wine vats cozy fireplace. We not only produce wine and brandy, you can also enjoy visiting our alpacas. Ducks, geese and the migrating weaver birds are part of the farm. You will b able to enjoy a short walk to our dam and find a cozy place to rest and have a glass of wine. The guesthouse has a choice of budget / self-catering and luxury rooms all en-suite with private entrances, fridges and most of them air-conditioned for the warm summer months.. Family rooms, queen-size or twin beds and self catering option (minimum 2 night stay) are available. Besides enjoying a swim in our swimming pool, there is table tennis, a big outdoor chess or have a game of billiard or boccia outside on the lawn or just enjoy a glass of wine at the pool.
