Overview

Whale Rock is a modern apartment complex situated on the sea shore at the Margate fishing pier, with magnificent sea and breaker views. It has its own communal splash pool and there is a small beach across the road, but the Margate main beach, with its seasonal entertainment and a plethora of eateries, nightclubs, pubs and family activities are just a short stroll away.

This spacious second floor apartment is well appointed with stylish contemporary furniture and comfortably accommodates six adults in three bedrooms (main and second bedroom with double beds and the third bedroom with two singles). The main bedroom enjoys stunning views from the bed or indeed the bath or shower in the romantic open plan en-suite bathroom . There is a second full restroom with bath and shower.

The granite kitchen is fully equipped with all the day-to-day cooking amenities as well as a washing machine, and leads open plan over a breakfast counter to a spacious and comfortable lounge with 42" LCD television, DSTV Premium Bouquet and DVD player. The adjoining semi covered entertainment patio is large, with comfortable el-fresco dining suite, fitted gas braai and fantastic views.

The unit is allocated secure parking in a private lock-up garage and a further covered parking bay, behind remote controlled gates. All linen is provided but please bring your own beach and bath towels. The unit is not serviced unless by arrangement.

ADVERTISED PRICING The price quoted is all inclusive for the full duration of the stay and there are no additional charges or fees. It includes the cleaning of the unit before your arrival and after your stay but does not include daily servicing (available on request). Linen is provided but not beach or bath towels or toiletries. The daily rates quoted on the Sleeping-Out are based on an average rate for a seven night stay, for the month in question - some months have more than one "season" with different rates for different times of the month. BOOKING TERMS A 50% deposit is required in order to secure a booking. The balance is due one month prior to occupancy at risk of the booking being cancelled. A booking commencing within one month requires a 100% deposit. At risk of cancellation and/or eviction without refund, the number of guests may not exceed the published total establishment capacity and the booking must be made by an adult of 21 years or older who will be present during the duration of the booking. Guests will be required to complete and sign an indemnity and acknowledgement of house/complex rules document.

This was the third time booking at 23 whale rock and I will definitely return.

My stay at Whale Rock was one that I will remember for years to come. The location was ideal and the unit was equipped as a home away from home. An awesome holiday destination.

Only real problem we had was the collection of the keys at Uvongo Spar and then going pass there to drop it off on our way home. We waited quite some time for someone to assist with collecting & dropping off. 23 Whale Rock on the other hand was very nice and we enjoyed our stay there .

Very very nice stay, very nice place. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that the house next door had some disturbing people staying in there, always drunk and fighting as in throwing things, heavy drinking and drugs involved. Other than that the stay was great and I will definitely go back.

The front gate was open continuously and on a couple of occasions the 'security gentleman' were not around.
Other than that FANTASTIC!!! The apartment was awesome!!!! Decor and cleanliness were top notch. Will definitely return there and have recommended the apartment and managing agents to family and friends.
