The Apricot Farm is a working farm and situated in the beautiful tranquility of the Breede River Valley in the Western Cape near Bonnievale. This looks like a lovely weekend spot - a cosy timber cabin circled by green lawns and newly planted plum trees 2016, with an outlook over the Langeberg mountains. There is an outdoor braai.

Enjoy long summer days on the river or the fires by the outdoor braai of the cottage. If you are sitting on the stoep you have the most beautifull view over the valley and Langeberg mountains.

River: the Self catering cottage is situated only 600m walk/drive, through the newly planted plum trees, from the River. It is an ideal place to spend some quality time with friends or family and a perfect getaway from the hectic city life. There is a canoe, rowing boat and a big tube in summer time for playing in the river (the river is deep, not for the little ones)

Kids: they can run around on the farm, we have a jungle jim.

Rooms: Inside the cottage its all cozy sweet-smelling pine from one end to the other.
There are two bedrooms, one with Queen Bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, the other with two three-quarters beds, en-suite bathroom with bath. In other words, you won't be lacking for comfort. There's also an extra single bed in the living area should you need it.

Bonnievale is a perfect destination, only one and a half hour drive from Cape Town and 120 km from Hermanus, 100km from the Southernmost Tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas. It forms part of the heart of Route 62 which included the towns of Robertson, McGregor, Ashton and Montagu. Montagu is a lovely little town which has nice restaurants and in Swellendam you have Bontebok National Park and Marloth Nature reserve. Hiking, Fishing, Canoeing, Cycling, Rock-climbing are perfect activities. Or visit one of the cheese factories or wine cellars.

Guest Comments

We were 4 adults who stayed 3 nights at the Apricot Farm- we have no complaints about the accommodation at all. We felt very comfortable since it was very cold we were provided with electric blankets which was awesome. We would certainly make use of the Apricot Farm again.
Saying all of that apparently the farm owners indicated that they will not be in the country next year- will the Apricot Farm still be in your rental pool then - since I would like to make a provisional booking for next year reabout the same week-end.
