Guest Comments

It was too noisy and people partying and no security. I think it's only for South Africans not other people.
The service was not good I went for 4 days without tv
I will never book it again and I will never recommend it to anyone I even left the lodge before my date because I wasn't happy at all

Firstly, they did not find my booking, I had to show them proof. The place is dirty, the shower smells and the surrounding is terrible with garbage all over the place even now they can't trace the deposit that I had paid. Finally the lady at reception gave us a family room. I do not advise anyone to book into that place especially if you are travelling with children. Is a right place for teenagers.

When my friends and I arrived there we were told that we owed Bentley lodge R3000. We said we have paid the full amount, lucky we had our bank receipts to show proof of payment. We were given single rooms for people that overnight there. There wasn't a kitchen; in the hall way was a table with a kettle and microwave including a fridge, now imagine we had to buy our groceries and store it in the fridge, other people would've helped themselves to our food. We were also told to pay a breakage fee of R1500. We told them we didn't book for separate rooms as what was given, we asked for a family suite as we were 6 people sharing (2 married couples and 2 single ladies). When they eventually sorted us out we had to wait on the family suite they were very unprofessional as they didn't prepare anything. When eventually got what we wanted entering the family suite there was no microwave ; no kitchen table too, as we went to see the rooms 1 bedroom was on its own with 2 single beds the other rooms were walk in rooms no privacy for the 1 married couple. We had to warm our food back at where they first put us in, so we said we will over night and see what's happening in the flat upstairs. We then went to view what was upstairs there was a microwave and a small table where 4 people could sit at. The main bedroom had a double bed and the other 2 rooms had 2 single beds we expected another double bed but they couldn't provide us with it. Where the breakage was concerned we gave them R500. Our first day leaving Bentley lodge was terrible the area was unsafe and very dirty flats, dirty broken windows etc. we had to find our way getting the people mover bus to be wherever we wanted to be at. Going back to Bentley lodge in the office we saw this TV screen and saw how stunning the rooms and lounge looked like so we asked if we could see that and was told it was at their other accommodation in a different area according to what the website shows they are the only place but lied about what they showed on internet and the TV screen. We weren't happy with their services. My friend brought her own pot scraper with and they stole it, my other friend brought sachets of coffee;hot chocolate;cuppacino; sugar etc from her house that got stolen too. Where cleaning is concerned they didn't clean the toilet and bathroom clean no domestos was used as they said they use that detergents. After our outings everyday when getting back the toilet still smell like urine. When the ladies clean the kitchen they didn't dry the dishes they expected us as the guests to dry it and pack away. They also used attitude towards us. We have decided either u give free accommodation or a discount on next holiday. Berea won't see us again and we won't tel others bout this accommodation. The cockroaches were terrible as well.

Bentley lodge is a nice place, staffs are also caring but I couldn't understand why they should let other guests play loud music in their garden around the pool that was disturbing, linen and towels are not changed daily, we end up using our own bath towels on our last day, the linen was so dirty, not planning to go back again on our next trip.
