I am overwhelmed and excited, I never win competitions and this would be the first time that I win one. I am really grateful as it could not have come at a better time. I would like to thank God firstly and then I would like to thank Sleeping out, and last but not least I want to thank Botterkloof Resort, I will definitely be staying there again on one of my next holidays as I enjoyed it thoroughly and the service I received was of an impeccable standard. I will recommend anyone to go on holiday. I won!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe it I am still shocked.

We arrived, we saw the accomadation that is a disgrace, false advertising, and we left.

We did not stay at the main resort we stayed at Wapenkloof. When we arrived at our destination we were greeted friendly by Riaan the resort manager and taken to our accommodation. However, at the accommodation various things were found lacking and not right, the accommodation was not cleaned properly the dust was still thick on the various surfaces, the freezer had no racks or drawers it was just a gaping hole where you had to stack all your frozen food, the shower head was full of lime and you could hardly get enough water out to shower, the basin was leaking quicker than you could fill it with water. I brought this to the attention of Riaan and all was sorted during the next 2 day. The point being that this kind of thing should have been picked up and corrected before you allow guest to stay at you establishment. The facilities which you can use at the main resort is great and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The price you pay is to high to have to endure such things. Will give them another chance in the future but will definitely stay on the main resort and not Wapenkloof.

Very welcoming and pleasant staff at Botterkloof. We stayed in Karina Chalet with an enclosed front garden for our dogs. Piet (Handyman) promptly attended to our concern about our small dogs escaping under the gate, and sealed it off - thank you Piet. Chalet could have some attention in terms of sprucing up (e.g. broken blinds, old cigarette butts in the front garden); but adequate. Restaurant is good value for money and service is good. Pool and communal areas spotlessly clean.

This has been the best experience I have ever had at any holiday accommodation place, with impeccable service from Riaan and his staff, I am really privileged to experience staying there and will recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for a brief but memorable stay at your establishment! We were pleasantly surprised to discover this peaceful paradise! Our kids had a blast and keep wanting to know when we can go back to the beautiful birdies. We will most definitely visit again. Keep up the great work!

Only stayed over for one night in Winter - would love to spend some time there in Summer. Everything was spotless and we had everything that we needed. Maybe just let us know when booking that we can request DSTV as stated in the book available to the visitors in the chalet.
Loved the beautiful, huge dogs which welcomed us to the chalet and were the most amazingly friendy animals.

We had an absolutely wonderful time, the little piglets running around are just adorable and the swimming pool was a total delight. Our only disappointment was the water pressure for the showers, as it really was non-existent although I do believe Stilbaai in general does have poor water pressure? Two small suggestions: 1) As the wind does come in the afternoon, weighted stands for the umbrellas would be very useful and 2) Visitors should be warned about the cows who seem to like licking and nudging the cars with their heads (some of them have horns - we were lucky enough come away without any scratches). All in all, a really lovely stay - we will definitely be back!
