Greystone Lodge is situated high in the hills of Mpumalanga Province and offers quality accommodation at prices you'll find difficult to match anywhere. Whether you are looking for a secluded weekend, fully serviced or self catering chalet, or just a quiet weekend of Trout fishing, this is the place for you. In the heart of the Trout area but little more than two hours from Pretoria, one hour from Nelspruit and two hours from the famous Kruger National Park, Greystone offers relaxing weekend getaways for the busy executive.
The Lodge consists of almost 500 Acres of unspoilt rolling grasslands with stark grey rocky outcrops rising to a height of more than 2000 metres. You are invited to explore the whole area and will see our large herd of free-roaming Blesbok. You are also likely to see Steenbok, Duiker, Reedbuck and the beautiful Oribi. White tailed Mongoose, Porcupine, and Jackal also live on the property, although you will only occasionally hear the latter at night. A great number of birds are also frequently seen here. We have sighted a wide variety of Grass Birds and from time to time see Blue Crane as well as Bald Ibis and a pair of Secretary Birds.
Our one-hectare dam is fully stocked with Rainbow Trout and you are at liberty to try your hand at fly fishing. Fish you catch can be returned to the water or you may cook them on your private braai right outside your Chalet.
Special midweek rate is available for time to time. Please feel free to contact us for details.
