Situated in majestic Gordon's Bay, 'The Jewel of the Western Cape', Highcliffe House, rated 4-STAR by the TGCSA, is a spacious and luxurious Guest House offering three exclusive self-catering suites with spectacular sea and mountain views across False Bay to Table Mountain, round to the Helderberg the Hottentots Holland mountains.

Highcliffe House is close to safe, sandy beaches, and from July to November Gordon's Bay becomes a haven for whale and dolphin watching.

As Gordon's Bay uniquely boasts two harbours - the old fishing harbour, and Harbour Island - a yachtsman's paradise, it is a centre for a plethora of water sports, as well as non-nautical activities such as Quad Biking, Hiking, Cable-Skiing, Horse Riding and much more.

There is no chance to be bored in Gordon's Bay. Everyday there are new places to explore, many wine estates to visit, good food to enjoy, people to meet and when you so wish places to just 'chill out' and relax.

In addition, there are 5 championship golf courses all within 20 kilometres and Gordon's Bay is also the start of the Whale Coast Route to Hermanus.

The wonderful Cape Winelands are right on our doorstep. The Helderberg Wine Route is less than 10 minutes away and the Stellenbosch Wine Route starts some 20 minutes away. The Franschhoek, Paarl, Constantia and Walker Bay (Hermanus) Wine Routes are all within a one hour drive.

Cape Town International Airport is within 25 minutes, and Cape Town itself is within 45 minutes.

With Highcliffe House, your English Hosts, Jane & Jim Yeomans, have created a charming haven for the discerning guest who is looking for luxurious and peaceful self-catering accommodation, with breathtaking sea and mountain views.

The three apartments, the one bedroom Merlot and Pinotage Suites and the two bedroom Riesling Suite, have their own private entrances with secure off-the-road parking.

The Merlot and Riesling Suites have direct access from the car park- no stairs to climb with suitcases, and ideal for the elderly.

The apartments are serviced Monday - Friday and we have a full on-site laundry service, although all apartments have steam irons and ironing boards.

The spacious gourmet kitchens are fully equipped with an electric oven, 4 ring-hob, double door fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, coffee machine and quality cutlery, glassware and crockery.

Breakfast baskets are available on request if you are arriving late in the evening or very early in the morning. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, condiments and quality toiletries on arrival as well as a welcome drink.

In the Winter months, Merlot & Pinotage have log fireplaces while Riesling has an electric log effect fireplace. We invite you to enjoy the Winter 'green' season in the glorious Cape, with a warm welcome and a glass of red wine.

Please contact us directly for preferential rates and any Special Offers for Extended Stays: more than 2 nights May to October; 7 nights or more November to April. We require 50% deposit to secure your reservation. The full balance is due on arrival. You may also pay the full amount prior to arrival. We take Visa, MasterCard and some Debit Cards. We charge 2% for credit card transactions. No cheques accepted. We accept cash, but charge an additional 2%. A refundable key/breakages fee of R250.00 per person is due on arrival. Cancellation Policy : If cancelled 30 days or more before date of arrival, a 10% administration fee will be charged, and the balance of your deposit refunded. If cancelled 14 - 30 days before date of arrival, 50% of total booking will be charged. If cancelled within 14 days of date of arrival, or in case of a 'no-show', the total price of the reservation will be charged and become payable to Highcliffe House.

This beautiful 100 sq.metre apartment has an attractive comfortable lounge with a log fireplace for those colder winter evenings. It opens onto a balcony with a built-in gas barbeque. This balcony is the ideal spot to relax with a glass of wine watching the magnificent sunsets over the Bay or the night lights of the Helderberg Basin. The spacious cherry wood gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and there is a breakfast bar with 2 stools, as well as a dining area with a dining table with 4 chairs. The large air conditioned bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath, hand basin unit and separate shower, plus a separate toilet. The kingsize bed is fitted with cotton percale linen and can also be made up as two singles. There is plenty of wardrobe space and there is comfy chair to sit and enjoy the stunning view across False Bay. Wake up to the sight of yachts in the Bay, and the sound of gulls circling overhead.

This spacious 120 sq.metre apartment is located next to the pool, the main patio and the garden. It has a well-appointed lounge, with an additional sleeper couch, and a dining area for 4. The lounge has plenty of comfortable luxury seating, a log fireplace for cozy winter evenings, plus, as with all of our other apartments, Satellite TV, DVD/CD and mini hi-fi. The fully fitted gourmet kitchen has a granite bar counter and stools. The sumptuous bedroom has a king-size bed (which can be made into twins), ample wardrobe space, and its own TV/DVD. The spacious en-suite bathroom has a 'slipper' bath, double shower, hand basin unit and toilet. Comments from our guests have already described this stunning apartment as "extremely comfortable, a real 'home-from-home', with wonderful views.

This spacious two bedroom apartment is ideal for a family of four, or for two couples travelling together. The bedrooms are both en-suite, one with a corner bath & separate shower, toilet and hand basin, & one with a large shower, toilet and hand basin. The main bedroom has a king-size bed & the second bedroom has large twin beds, all fitted with cotton percale linen. Both spacious bedrooms have ample wardrobe space. Both accommodate comfortable additional seating - one even has a sofa on which to relax and enjoy the outstanding views. The lounge, which also affords a beautiful sea view, is open plan to the spacious fully fitted gourmet kitchen that has a granite top bar counter, plus 4 stools, as well as a dining table with chairs for 4 people. For guests wishing to barbeque there is a lovely 'Zen" garden, with water fountain, outside the apartment's front door, for alfresco dining - watch the Helderberg Mountains turn pink as the sun sets.
