Guest Comments

Specific for dry (winter) season: Pay attention to water shedding in St. Lucia. Hippo Hideaway has invested in several water tanks and offered water from these on days when there was not any water from the town. We spoke to guests of other BnBs and they had no water at all for days. However, water shedding means only twice 3 hours of water a day!

Great place to visit with little kids: nice roofed open area outside, play ground on premisse, and special: fully fenced pool area, such that little "non swimmers" can roam safely. Some toys, movies and books available at reception. Spa and liquor store literally across the street.

Management was always approachable for issues and actively pursuied any problem coming up.

Units differing in size and equipment, mostly NO indoor dining area - dining area outside for each unit and additional communal dining tables under roof outside. Our unit (No.8) was rather small and full of furniture, but we saw other units to be spacier.

Cleanliness was limited when we arrived and during the stay, but considering the otherwise great management of the place we give the credit that this may be due to ongoing water shedding (difficulty to clean well without water).

We'll be back.
