Established in 2004 and situated on a privately owned 200 hectare farm within an indigenous forest in The Crags, just fifteen minutes from Plettenberg Bay, is a unique venue offering a variety of options that can be tailored to suit your needs. Accommodation for groups of up to 80 people offering both self-catering and catered options that are reasonably priced is a rare find indeed! We supply sheets only, you need to bring your own bedding and towels. These 2 dorms use a centrally located ablution block with showers. We like to call our dorms - "roughing it comfortably" The buildings are wooden and elevated above the forest canopy to take full advantage of the incredible views of rolling forested hills, green pastures, mountains and even a glimpse of the ocean too. The main area, also known as The Lodge, has a fully equipped kitchen and large open area with enormous fire place for cold winter evenings. We have solid wooden tables and benches and a lovely open deck area. This is the hub of Ingwe for gatherings from dining, workshops and events to conferences. The boma and a braai area is tucked away sheltered from wind and perfect to soak up the starry night skies and also to spot those fireflies! Their swimming pool area up on the field has a 360 view and is an ideal place for picnics, games, sporting activities and events. We also offer some other options for self-catering accommodation too; Forest Cottage sleeps 14, Tree House sleeps 6 and Olive Tree sleeps 2. Ingwe offers exclusive use to groups, making them the centre of their attention. Take a short stroll along a forested trail to a natural clearing in the indigenous forest to wooden decks that have been sensitively built without disturbing the natural foliage; an ideal spot for ceremonies, picnics or as an outdoor classroom.beautiful and peaceful. For the more adventurous, a challenging obstacle course, serious mountain biking trails and lots of hikes through the forest ranging from a gentle amble to a more demanding, but a very worthwhile activity. Bird life is abundant and as Ingwe is situated within an protected area, our endemic wildlife have found a haven to explore and you may even be lucky enough to spot a few of these creatures!
