The central and private position in the secure development. Magnificent 180 degrees Sea view from the two bedrooms and lounge , all leading with sliding doors onto the 35m2 balcony with the gas braai and cane outdoor furniture.

Main bedroom en-suite, bathroom with double basins, bath and shower cabin.
Main bedroom has Queen Size bed and other two bedrooms have Double beds. Linen, towels to be used in the flat ONLY are provided.

Lounge with open plan granite top fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, washing machine. All cutlery, crockery and glasses are supplied.

Le Touessrok 29 is the sea facing 3 bedroom (mes), 2 bathroom self-catering luxury apartment with lockup double garage. The central and private position in the secure development. Magnificent Sea view from the two bedrooms and lounge , all leading with sliding doors onto the 35m2 balcony with the gas braai and cane outdoor furniture. It has open plan granite top fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, washing machine. All cutlery, crockery and glasses are supplied. Main bedroom has Queen Size bed and other two bedrooms have Double beds. Linen, towels are provided (please supply own beach towels). The apartment is fully air conditioned with individual remote control operated units in each room. LCD TV and DSTV connections. Please bring own DSTV decoder with cables and own smart card. The establishment has private access to blue flag swimming beach (200m from the flat) with lifeguard on duty as well as tropical garden and large swimming pool . The Wild Coast Casino is only a 20 minutes drive. Nearest Shopping mall is 5 min drive.

As much as we've enjoyed the unit and facilities especially with the direct access to the beach, we were extremely disappointed in not having water for 6 out of the 8 day stay.

It was a major inconvenience as I'm sure you can imagine especially with 2 daughters, having to walk up and down the flights of stairs with 5 litre containers to fetch bore hole water to flush toilets and buy fresh water to try wash ourselves down.

Now as much as I fully understand that the issue with not having any water supply is not your fault, it's common knowledge from locals and other unit owners here in the complex and Ramsgate that this problem is a common problem due to the old eroding water pipes in the area which are constantly bursting and having to be repaired by the council, and we all know how useless the councils can be at future planning and maintenance just like the rest of Africa is. So why is it then that we were not warned of this before we booked or even at least before we arrived that there might be a possibility that there may be no water should something like this happen? I find it highly disturbing that the best you could say was we should contact the cleaning service and see what they can do??

I guarantee you that I would not have booked my main family holiday in Ramsgate had I been even vaguely aware that there might be a possibility even if it's a 1/100 chance of this happening and going on for days on end. People should at least be made aware of the possibility of the issue before arrival and the company managing your unit should then at least try assist with delivering containers with fresh water or have some sort of backup plan for people to shower or bath. We contacted the lady you told us to speak to and she simply apologized and said they couldn't do anything.

If this was my holiday unit and this happened to holiday makers for basically there entire stay at the apartment I would have tried to assist by helping with water being delivered or making alternative shower or bathing arrangements for the guests at another property close by or something of that sort, and more than likely offered them a discounted rate on their stay - especially since no arrangement at the unit has been made for a water Jojo to be put in place.If this issue was a once off, then maybe I would think slightly different, but knowing now that some of the other units have Jojo's to cater for this common Ramsgate problem then I don't think it's fair but that's my opinion.

It may be worth your while as an owner of a holiday property that it is not merely about recouping income from the unit but also ensuring that your visitors are recurring tenants and enjoy the experience to give positive feedback. Below is a summary list of issues that could do with attention:

1. Water tank facilities
2. No hot water in kitchen taps? We keep having to boil kettle to ensure we get hot water to clean dishes properly - but that issue applies when there is actually any water running out of the pipes in the first place!
3. Lights in main bedroom and dressing room don't work - not sure if it's the bulbs or actually the light fittings
4. Kitchen equipment - kitchen could do with some proper containers/Tupperware for cooked food. Most of the plastic dishes and cups are broken, bitten and old should not be left in the kitchen ( needs replacing )
5. Fridge - Not cooling properly - we have to replace milk every 2nd day as it keeps spoiling
6. Front door does not lock from outside - lock faulty
7. Remote for main gate - battery might need replacing or remote is faulty as we have to push several times for it to open

It was my husband's 51st Birthday on Friday 21st August, going away for the weekend was a surprise getaway with our adult children and their spouses......nothing could have prepared us for the beautiful view, stunning facilities and upmarket unit. We had the most amazing weekend. The Unit is absolutely lovely, from bathrooms to the open plan kitchen and the awesome outside covered patio. Honestly, the best service i have ever had from a holiday letting agent / establishment....ever. Fetching and dropping keys was convenient, Unit was clean except for some of the dishes which obviously if not used will need a wash every now and again. Otherwise fantastic. The complex is in pristine condition for its age and we will definitely book another weekend away at Le Touessrok.

We stayed at Le Touessrok 29 for six nights the end of April 2015. The location is superb, the accommodation was not too bad but we have experienced better for less. We were slightly disappointed in the number of light bulbs and fans not working, and the Venetian blinds in the east facing kitchen window did not work so the heat in the kitchen in the afternoons was unbearable. The only number we could phone was the caretaker, who told us we had to contact the owner, and as we did not have internet connectivity we could not get hold of the owner. The one thing that worried me the most was security. Yes there are gates that need a remote, and there are electric fences around most of the property, but where the property borders the beach there is an ordinary 1,2 meter high wire fence that I would be able to climb over even with my bad back, without raising a sweat, and the simple gate there was open from dawn till dusk. However, we did enjoy the flat, it was great being within walking distance of the beach.
