Guest Comments

We booked this place last minute because everything in Nelspruit was booked out for the Rugby. We arrived late and weren't expecting much at all, so it was so nice to have clean linen, and wake up the next morning in a beautiful place. We stayed in the big 16 sleeper house. There's only one shower and toilet for the whole house, which is a bit short sighted, but otherwise, great value for money if you're used to backpackers/dorms/hostels.

The Ambulation blocks was dirty and so old it's scary. 1 Toilet and 2 showers for a whole campsite is a bit ridiculous. The swimming pool was dirty. We left a day earlier due to unpleasantness other campers caused and the owners didn't even address them.
The experience at Mac Mac Forest Retreat was indeed not a pleasant one.

There is the minimal facilities. There is warm water, but not for long...2 people showered, and only cold water remained. While we were there, the new owners took over. Therefore we couldn't buy anything. We had to drive to Graskop to get some cold drinks. On the positive side.... shady camping site on grass, with free firewood. And the price is really cheap to camp.

House was neat and clean, staff was very helpful.
REAL moneys worth
