Overview

Ndzalama Nature Reserve & Lodge, situated in the Valley of the Olifants, only 80kms from the Kruger National Park offers luxury accommodation on a 14 000 ha Nature Reserve. Home to two of the Big 5: Elephants and Leopard and other exquisite game like the rare Sable and Golden Wildebeest. Enjoy breathtaking views from gigantic boulders whilst enjoying absolute peace and quiet surroundings in our quaint chalets. The only sounds you'll hear is that of nature. Relax at the main lapa, braai-boma and take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool nestled between natural rocks and boulders.
Ndzalama offers two different types of accommodation, each with its own distinctive character. You can choose between the Luxury Chalets or our Family Cottage.
Each chalet and cottage have its own private patio where one can enjoy nature and the abundant birdlife of more than 300 species!
There are 6 luxury thatched roof chalets, exquisitely decorated and furnished in an African theme. Each chalet offers accommodation for two guests, with the option of either one king size bed or two single beds. Each chalet consists of a private bathroom with a bath, basin, separate toilet and stargazing shower. All linen and towels are provided. A small coffee station with an Espresso Coffee Machine provides that extra luxury. A small lounge area in the room and an outside patio with small private braai brings nature to your doorstep. Each chalet is equipped with a bar fridge, closet and lock-safe in the room.
Our family cottage consists of a private bedroom with two single beds, separate open plan kitchen and lounge area with two extra single beds. Sleeps 4. All linen and towels are provided. This chalet has its own private braai-area, small kitchenette with a fridge.
Our beautiful main building is the get-together where guests come to visit and enjoy life. It offers a luxury open living room with cosy fireplace, dining room, bar, toilets and a big communal kitchen.
Free Wi-Fi is available at the mainbuilding and a smart TV offers YouTube, Netflix and Showmax channels.
A big boma and fireplace nestled between the rocky boulders is the ideal group setting for all to enjoy.
The refreshing swim in the swimming pool is the best way to end the day. Swimming towels are also provided.
Catering is available and guests can pre-book set meals at least one day in advance. Our day-to-day menu is available on request. Payment options available. A small tuck-shop on the premises helps to soothe the sweet-tooth and cravings. Payment options available.

Game-viewing
Game-drives are an essential part of connecting with nature at Ndzalama. Top-up your stay with a pre-booked game drive. Pre-order a snack-pack to enjoy on the game-viewing vehicle or stop somewhere under a tree and have a lovely bush-picnic. Don't forget your camera to capture moments and memories. Not only will you be able to see the beautiful game of Ndzalama, but Ndzalama is full of small treasures like birds, reptiles, insects and much more.

Star-gazing with Cheese & Wine
The African Skies shines magnificently over Ndzalama Game/Nature Reserve & Lodge. Join us for a stargazing bush-cruise with a cheese & wine picnic-basket.
Safari Guided Walk:
A highlight of your stay includes the opportunity to track elephant, lion and other game on foot. Accompanied by an experienced guide, guests can come in a close proximity to animals in their natural environment. A bush-brekkie or bush-braai is available on request. We offer early morning and/or late afternoon guided safari walks through the beautiful veld and bush of Ndzalama Nature Reserve. For a truly exclusive experience, only a maximum of 4 guests are taken on the 4 hours Guided Safari Walk. Nature photographers can enjoy total quietness and privacy to capture the hidden beauties where vehicles can't go. Experienced guides with back-up rifles will lead the relaxed and awe-inspiring walk to interesting places and landmarks of the surrounding Wilderness areas. Our well experienced guide will share from his treasure of knowledge on natures' secrets, animal behaviour and the natural wonders of the Lowveld area.
Safari walks will include the tracking and trailing of species like elephant and lion on foot, whilst learning and observing the fascinating facts of the African bush. Unfortunately, no children under the age of 13 is allowed on the Safari Walk.
Guided Safari Walks must be booked two days in advance.
