Nestled in the rolling hills of Zululand lies Ntibane Bushveld Hideaway.
Situated in the Hlomo Hlomo area of KwaZulu Natal, it is an idyllic setting for those who love the African bush and simply want to immerse themselves in its splendour.
The game farm is 286ha of open savannah and thornveld. It is completely game fenced and also surrounded by game farms. There is an abundance of impala, blesbok, reed buck, kudu, zebra, warthog and the bird life is prolific.
The lodge has 2 fully equipped solid stone cottages, situated on the banks of the dams overlooking the water, a pleasure if you enjoy fishing from the deck, enjoying a sundowner as the African sunset illuminates the sky or view the prolific birdlife. All have large sliding doors that open onto a wooden deck with panoramic views of the bush. Each cottage sleeps two adults and two children with bathrooms en-suite. Kitchenette area includes stove, microwave, mini fridge and all cutlery and crockery.

There are several jetties dotted the dams giving easy access to the water. There is also a lovely fully equipped boma.
Water is fresh from an artesian borehole with a submersible pump,supplying 8000 litres an hour via a 60 000 litre reservoir. A pipe line delivers water to the camp and to the game during dry periods. It was also accredited with a 3 star rating and AA travel rated Ntibane Bushveld hideaway as Highly recommended.

Enjoy a guided game drive in a Land Rover and see the bush as you've never seen it before with aid of an experienced game ranger. Self-guided day trips can be taken to Itala Game Reserve
Hiking or walking
There are numerous hiking trails in the area including some lovely trails through the Ngome State Forest which is one of South Africa's largest endemic forests - a breathtaking sight to behold.
Unguided walks can be taken in safety on the reserve, as there is no dangerous game on the reserve itself. Feel free to stroll off as you please!
The cottages are set amongst three small dams which all offer good Florida Bass and Tilapia fishing on either conventional or fly fishing tackle. Try your hand at luring one of the 2.5kg plus Tilapia to your fly and see why they are regarded as one of Africa's hardest fighting freshwater fish!
For the more adventurous angler, try fishing for the endemic Yellowfish or Catfish on the Mkuze river - a real challenge on the fly!
Hunting is also available as an activity, for trophy or meat. Please enquire as to what we have available.
Non elecrified campsites are available for those that prefer to sleep under the stars. A fully equipped boma with braai facilites, shower and separate toilet are available. There is also a bonfire pit and built in fireplace for the cooler evenings. Wood is freely available.
