Outspan Inn is situated in Port St Johns, on the beautiful Wild Coast at the mouth of the Umzimvubu River. A short walk across the lawns takes you straight down to First (our) Beach. It's not a swimming beach, but is great for sundowners, walks, and building sandcastles.
All our rooms are seafacing, but because we are environmentally aware & bird friendly, the swathe of coastal bush between the lawns and the beach is left intact for the birds (120 species recorded at Outspan Inn).
The B&B rooms are all en suite, with DSTV. The swimming pool is fenced & the Gardens are child friendly. Pets are welcome as long as they are well behaved.
Our self catering units are fully equipped.
Lunch and dinner can be had at the independently owned restaurant & pub on the premises.
Outspan Inn on the beautiful Wild Coast is the perfect location from which to explore the coastline or the interior.
We regard ourselves as the centre of the magnificent marine migration, The Sardine Run.
Be it whale watching, diving (also exciting shark diving), canoeing or mountain biking that takes your fancy, come to Outspan Inn to do it.
Bird watching - Port St Johns has over 250 species (120 at Outspan Inn), including the rare cape Parrot, Narina Trogon, and visiting pelagic species.
The Wild Coast is a photographers heaven, be it the wonderful Pondo People and Culture, birds, flora, marine life or our landscape, Outspan Inn is a great base to explore from.
