Point Lodge is ideally situated at the edge of the Knysna lagoon. Point Lodge was one of the first guest houses in Knysna and has been in operation since 1991, which is a tribute to our dedication to provide quality accommodation and service to foreign and local visitors alike .
Point Lodge is the perfect base to explore the surrounding indigenous forests and trails, the spectacular Featherbed Nature Reserve and the beautiful lakes and beaches nearby. We have an extensive supply of information at our reception, and will gladly make reservations for guests on any of the local activities.
Tranquil water laps at the garden wall at high tide. The sparkling pool is set in a beautiful garden with countless bird species. The welcoming dining room, lounge and 'honesty' bar have spectacular views across the lagoon. A delicious full English and\or continental breakfast will definitely set you up for the day. For evening dining there are many excellent restaurants in Knysna at which we will happily make reservations on our guest's behalf.
We have nine individually decorated bedrooms, six lagoon facing, either from the room or private patio, and three garden facing rooms. All rooms are equipped with television, radio\clock, hairdryer, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. All bedrooms are non-smoking, but most have patios to accommodate smokers.
Golf, horse-riding, abseiling and quad biking nearby for the energetic holiday-makers. For those not so energetic ... ferry boats, yachts and strolls along the beach are just a few minutes away! Just let us "Point" you in the right direction.
All credit cards are accepted when paying through Sleeping-OUT.
Enjoyable stay over.

Wonderful place to stay!!
Beautiful setting right on the edge of the lagoon, which provided a welcome breeze on very hot days.
Loved the little garden pond where four large birds drank several times a day.
Lovely decor in bedrooms and bathrooms.
Will certainly return.

A lodge in a beautiful setting with friendly and helpful staff. There were some minor concerns however that could make it excellent. The pillows and duvet in our suite were very flat, there wasn't enough bath towels in the bathroom, the ceiling fan didn't work, the shower needed a bit of a scrub and the free standing bath was worryingly unstable on it's feet. It's sometimes the little things that really make a stay excellent and make you want to go back or recommend a place to others.
