That Place and Ons Hoek are situated on our working wine farm, That Wine Demesne.
THAT PLACE: is a comfortable, friendly home where you can spend a good relaxing holiday. Forests and pastoral views, rich bird life - and, if you are lucky - elephants wandering through their paddocks across the valley.
The house has 2 levels: two bedrooms upstairs and one outside, downstairs. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and the second bathroom has a shower. The kitchen is well equipped and is an open plan design with the dining and lounge area. Smart TV (with Netflix loaded) with a variety of DVD's (if you are not Smart TV-friendly), and lots of books to read and games to play!
Swim in the deep clear swimming pool, play boulle or take a sauna. On a balmy African evening, enjoy a traditional braai (BBQ) and feast at the great wooden table. Or, spend lazy hours on the deck, thinking of nothing in particular.
ONS HOEK - (Our Corner) is a charming little house - ideal for a couple and those travelling with their faithful furry companions. The garden is large, so plenty of space to run around in and it's fully fenced, and a lily pond, which is ever a dog magnet.
The well equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area is open plan, ensuring the chef is never alone. A toasty fireplace for cooler evenings, a bookcase full of interesting titles and a Smart TV with Netflix loaded. The main bedroom is spacious and light and has an en-suite bathroom (and the toilet is separate from the bathroom). The sunny second bedroom is twin bedded, and lovely for a warm afternoon nap. The house overlooks the vineyards and the elephant sanctuary.

Delighted with Joe's hospitality, the house and everything it's surrounded with. Looking forward to coming back to 'That Place'.

The farm cottage Ons Hoek was lovely, and had everything we needed for the three of us and our two doggies. Joanna the Hostess was very helpful and friendly. As there is only one bathroom and separate toilet, it would have been nice if there was an outdoor sheltered shower to use as well. I would recommend the farm stay as its close to Natures valley and close to Plettenberg Bay.
