The Old Cottage is a private section of an old Greyton house built in 1856 by the founder of The village, Sir Herbert Vigne. The cottage is separated from the main house, where the owners live, by a large courtyard and has its own entrance. The cottage has a charming, cosy ambiance and is elegantly decorated with interesting furniture, a Dover Stove fire with wood provided, a large library of books, magazines and DVDs. It is perfect for two people who want to get away to the country for a few days and explore the village and perhaps take a walk in the mountains. It is in easy walking distance to all restaurants and shops and in fact there is no need to get in your car once you are here. There is a living room with dining table for four, a pretty vine covered courtyard with fireplace which can also be used for a barbecue, a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with queen bed and en-suite shower room. Television has full DSTV (no card required) and DVD player. There is WiFi, off street parking and an armed response security system. The Old Cottage has the same owners as Fig Tree Cottage, an established self catering guest house on the next property (which sleeps 4), so The Old Cottage can be hired separately or the two cottages together could be suitable for a party of 6.
