This is the original hotel building, built in the 1860's. It has been lovingly restored and gives a glimpse into the "Wild West" days of frontier Natal in the late 1800's. The advent of the motor vehicle and the "new" main road to the interior effectively meant the end of the era of the transport riders and the need for the stop-over in Curry's Post. Now the Old Hotel at Curry's Post is once again hosting travellers from all over, and those in search of peace and some fresh country air.

We had a great comfortable stay and the area has lots to offer. Victor was a great host.

A most enjoyable weekend stay, finding the Old Post Office comfortable and tranquil, with a wonderful balance between the 'old' wooden furniture and the 'new' bathroom and kitchen finishes. The neatness of the gardens and newly cut lawns created a welcoming platform for our arrival. Special mention must be made of Victor, who went out of his way to ensure that our visit was enjoyable and memorable.

A peaceful and refreshing stay. The Postmaster's cottage was very well kept - clean, neat, pretty much everything we needed. We did request a microwave and Samantha made a plan to lend us one even though we were only there two nights - really great service. Nice walks and a good few options of things to do. Victor was extremely helpful and always available.

We had a very special stay. The attention to detail is excellent.
Their assistance was exceptional; from the booking, arrival, leaving.. We only regret we couldn't stay longer. I would recommend at least 2 nights stay.
