The Storytellers organic farm is made up of 2,8ha of land nestled adjacent to the Wilderness area, at the back of De Pakhuys Guest Farm in the Agter Pakhuis Valley, northern Cederberg (known to boulderers the world over as Rocklands). Our three off-grid safari tents offer privacy, peace and quiet, while still keeping you close to various hiking trails, climbing areas and swimming options.

At The Storytellers we believe in keeping it as simple as possible. All of our units offer gas fridges to keep things cool, while hot water is generated by wood-fired donkeys (water boilers) at Dassie Den and Porcupine Place, while Tortoise Terrace has a gas geyser. There is no access to electricity or wi-fi and cell phone access is limited to some MTN reception, depending on where you stand.

Guests staying with us at The Storytellers have access to the whole of the Wilderness area around De Pakhuys guest farm, as well as the farm dam - a perfect spot to swim or canoe on a hot summers day. There is also a Waterfall, complete with a swimming hole and amazing views. The farm is also home to more than 500 registered bouldering sites and a several short, challenging sport and trad climbing routes. Limited bouldering and sport climbing gear is available for rent from the Rocklands Development Association's climbing club, The Rocklands Rangers. There are also several hiking trails on the farm, ranging from an easy meander through the rocks to more strenuous treks through the Kloof or up Die Plaat trail. Paid-for wi-fi access is available at the De Pakhuys main campsite and there is also a campsite shop selling limited basics.
