Situated in the tranquil seaside suburb of Gonubie, with just a 15 minute drive into East London, and a 5 minute walk to our fantastic beach, a perfect spot for both the holidaymaker and the business guest.

Our establishment offers a small but welcoming swimming pool. For those with children we have a jungle-gym, sandpit, trampoline and wendy house. We have secure parking for 1 vehicle and private outdoor seating areas for all units. Barbeque facilities are available for all units. We welcome pets by arrangement.

We also offer units at Gonubie Sands apartments, 200 meters from the Rose and Ale and only 2 minute walk from the sea. These comfortable units are individually decorated to our standard but with no access to the pool or playground. Barbecue facilities available and secure parking. Pets also welcome by arrangement.

Gonubie is a lovely tranquil holiday spot. We offer a 9 hole golf course, squash and tennis courts and 2 gyms nearby. The surrounding area has Game Parks and superb unspoiled beaches. There is Lion Park, zoo and aquarium. The surfing and fishing is great too.

Cider Place is a comfortable unit with one large bedroom with a queen sized bed and 2 single beds and en-suite shower. Please note: there is only one bathroom that is accessed through the main bedroom Please note: There are 2 steps into the room

Rose Cottage

Cosy Cottage with a small enclosed rose garden (with gate), covered deck and braai/barbaque facilities. Pets are welcome

Sea Breeze

Sea Breeze is a lovely newly renovated unit with a large open plan bedroom/lounge area with a queen bed and a sleeper couch, which can be made into 2 full single beds. Please note: This unit is up a flight of exterior stairs (no lift)

The Red Door

Outside, in front of the unit, you have a small, enclosed garden (with gate) and braai/barbeque facilities. As well as a deck off the main bedroom to enjoy a view over Gonubie. Please note: There are stairs in this unit: 3 steps up to the front door,
