Overzicht

Situated at the slopes of the Makhonjwa Mountians, overlooking the town of Barberton and the De Kaap valley, this 1890 built Victorian Style house with its spacious veranda provides the perfect opportunity for relaxation. It was first used as mine offices and during the South African War as a mess by the British troops. It was in possession of the Wormal family for 50 years, and in 1996 it was converted into a guest house.

It is ideally situated to explore the town with its rich historical heritage as well as the surrounding natural splendour.The house is in walking distance from the centre of town as well as the Heritage Walk, which leads past various tourist attractions, such as the Belhaven Museum, Fernlea and Stopforth House, the Jock of the Bushveldt Monument as well as the Block House, which was used during the South African War by the British Troops.

The recently completed Geotrail is a must-see when visiting Barberton - showcasing the majestic splendour of the Makhonjwa-Barberton Mountainland (Barberton Greenstone Belt). A journey to the beginning of time, this area of rugged mountains is perhaps the most complete portrait of the Earth approximately 3.2 - 3.5 billion years ago.

With two double bedrooms and one twin room, all with en-suite bathrooms, we can accommodate 7 people with ease.
