Mountainview Inn is set in the Free State near Harrismith in the tranquil surroundings of Bergview Complex on the N3, overlooking the magnificent Platberg Mountain. This makes the ideal stopover and the combination of old fashioned values, cleanliness, courtesy, beauty and modern day technologies we ensure an enjoyable stay.
There are 47 en-suite rooms, all equipped with air conditioners / heaters, TV systems with 12 channels as well as undercover parking outside each room. The Caravan Park has 20 stands with power points and state of the art ablutions, all surrounded by electric fence.
There are a number of Restaurants on the Complex for your meal requirements. Ocean Basket, Spur, Wimpy, Nando`s and the latest addition Sugarman Cafe.
Mountainview Inn offers overnight accommodation with 14 double and 31 single rooms to choose from. All rooms have tea & coffee facilities. Guests may check in any time from 14:00 and check out time is 10:00.
Our double rooms are equipped with two double beds, accommodating a maximum of four people. Single rooms are equipped with one double bed, accommodating a maximum of two people per room. All rooms are non-smoking.
A host of facilities are available to the guests including a petrol station, shops, conference facilities, a la carte restaurant, a variety of food outlets as well as an Animal Park.
Sporting facilities are also available in and around Harrismith and places of interest such as Sterkfontein Dam, Basotho Cultural Village, Retief's Monument, Golden Gate etc. are easy accessible from here.

We found the accommodation basic, but adequate. We had to ask for toilet paper as there wasn't any in the bathroom. The Reception staff were very friendly & helpful.
