The Badplass Golf Club is named after the
little Mpumalanga town where it is situated. On the outskirts of town, the
Badplaas Golf Club is south of the N4 road (which connects Pretoria and
Nelspruit) and southwest of Barberton and Nelspruit. It has a pretty setting in
the Seekoeispruit (hippopotamus stream) foothills of the Dhlumudhlumu
Mountains.
The golf course has 9 holes and despite
being a shorter course, the club has excellent and varied facilities which
appeal to everyone from serious golfers to those who enjoy the social side of
the game most.
Golfing specific extras at the club include
a putting green and pro-shop, where a pro is available to dispense advice and
answer questions. There are also many pieces of equipment for hire like rental
carts and trolleys, and clubs. You can even hire a caddie.
After a game, before a game, or even on
your day off from golf, members and visitors are welcome to stop by for a quick
bite to eat at the halfway house or a full-blown meal at the restaurant.
Alternative options to eating and drinking are swimming in the club pool or
playing a round of billiards. All of these facilities are centred on the
Badplaas Golf Club’s clubhouse.

popular. The answer is the sulphur hot springs which belch out 30 000
litres of hot water an hour. These springs are a great place to visit if you’re
feeling a bit stiff after a round on the golf course.
