The Bay View Private Hospital is a particularly upmarket healthcare facility which is associated with brilliant quality and clinical excellence. It is located on top of a hill in the town, looking out over the Mossel Bay and the Indian Ocean. A more picturesque location for a hospital does not exist.
Life Bay View Hospital is continually striving to provide the highest level of care to its patients and their loved ones. The main players in this pursuit are the highly trained medical staff – doctors, nurses, radiologists and more, that are not only skilled, but passionate about treating people.
The hospital has 108 beds in total, which are divided between a number of rooms, both private and communal. There are a number of wards such as the 24 hour emergency unit which is open every day of the year, an intensive care unit, a high care unit and a general ward. There is also a paediatric ward, which has a section for the neonatal ICU. Other facilities at the hospital include a pharmacy, a pathology laboratory and a radiology unit which does MRI and CT scans as well as X rays.
Some of the many disciplines practised at the hospital included anaesthesiology, urology, general medicine and surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology and ophthalmology among others.
