Boulders Beach is located in Simon's Town in the Cape Peninsula. Large granite boulders have separated this beach into little bays which provide much shelter from the wind. The beach is well known for the colony of African penguins which settled on the beach in 1982 and many locals and tourists visit the beach to see these amazing birds.
The beach is a great swimming spot as the bays provide calm waters which are perfect for little ones. The beach forms part the Table Mountain National Park so a small entrance fee is charged for the maintenance and upkeep of the protected environment.
