The Johannesburg Expo Centre is the largest purpose built conference, convention and event’s venue in South Africa. Each year, the centre hosts some of South Africa’s most popular shows and exhibitions. These include the renowned Rand Show – the largest world-wide consumer showcasing outside of America.
The centre is owned by a number of conglomerates and self-made entrepreneurs, including the UK-based Montgomery group, the black economic empowerment consortium, Fluxrab and local businessman, Raymond Burke.

While Johannesburg Expo Centre has overseen major events through the years, its biggest claim to fame was the hosting of the International Broadcast Centre during the 2010 FiFA World Cup. The International Broadcast Centre was at the heart of all television operations and world news agencies during that time.
In terms of corporate social responsibility, the Johannesburg Expo Centre lends a helping hand to better the future of South African school children. They are currently the main sponsors of the Grade Nine Careers Expo, a fair that teaches students about the qualifications they need in order to follow various vocations.
