Humewood Beach is one of the oldest Blue Flag beaches in South Africa. It is nestled between Kings Beach and Hobie Beach in Nelson Mandela Bay, Port Elizabeth. Humewood Beach is a great spot for families as it offers sheltered sunbathing and safe swimming, rock pools, fishing and snorkeling. The beach has lifeguards on duty during the Summer season (from November to April) and fantastic disabled facilities are available, including special wheelchairs which can be used on the sand and in the sea.
A promenade runs along the beach which adds easy access to restaurants and shops on the beach front. Happy Valley is right next to Humewood Beach and has plenty of grassy areas which are great for picnics.
