Ifafa Beach is located on the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal. Ifafa is derived from the Zulu word ‘fafa’ meaning ‘sparkling’.
The beach is well-protected with a large tidal pool for children to swim in and provides opportunities to swim, surf, fish and sunbathe.
Adjacent to the beach is the Ifafa Caravan Resort, a popular venue choice for many visitors to the area. The resort is ideally located with magnificent sea views and a tranquil setting. The resort has all the basic amenities including a laundromat, a games room and a licenced pub and restaurant
The beach is in close proximity to many tourist attractions and popular holiday destinations. Scottburgh, a seaside town situated on the mouth of Mpambanyoni river, is located just 28kms away. For golfing enthusiasts, there are several golfing resorts scattered around the South Coast, boasting magnificent views of the ocean.
Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve is located some 20 km’s away and is largely made up of grassy terrain with some forested areas. Here you’ll see large herbivores – mainly zebra - as well as an impressive array of wildflowers and birdlife. Croc World Conservation Centre, approximately 25 km’s away, is an educational experience that connects people to these wild animals and to nature.
