Park Golf Club is the very golf course on which legendary golfer, Ernie Els, learned to play golf. It is
an 18-hole, par 72 course. It has poa and bent grass on the greens with kikuyu fairway grass and was designed in
1965 by Grimswell and Kerr, leading golf course architects of the time, and
is a classic parklands course. This
golf course is known to be an easy-playing one and the club, a friendly one.
Among the
facilities which are available to both guests and affiliates are a well-stocked pro shop, professional golf coaching by a PGA-certified professional,
practice facilities that include a
driving range and putting greens, golf
cart hire and caddie hire. There is also a halfway house for refreshments and nibbles for peckish golfers.
