Accommodation near Mount Edgecombe Country Club - 7
The Mount Edgecombe Country Club is one of South Africa’s premier golfing estates, having been established and forming part of the old sugar mill over 138 years ago. The two golf courses are uniquely designed around the natural layout of the land, ensuring that no unnecessary destruction was inflicted upon the surrounding vegetation. Today, golfers can walk along the lush fairways while enjoying the abundant subtropical flora and fauna.
The estate is neatly tucked away in the sugar-growing town of Mount Edgecombe, located on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal and inland from Umhlanga Rocks.
The first course has an extremely attractive parkland layout, and is a popular venue for amateur as well as professional tournaments. With four sets of tees, the course is suitable for all levels of golfers looking to improve on their skills. The second course contrasts to the first with its undulating greens and narrow avenues of trees – certainly a challenge for even the most experienced golfers.
Both locals and travelers from afar enjoy golfing at this prestigious venue. Not only can a leisurely game be played in majestic surroundings, but the estate is also known for its fine dining as well as luxury accommodation and facilities. A meal at the on-site restaurant offers cuisine that is of a high standard – using the freshest ingredients and original recipes. A night at the luxury lodge provides you with a stay in an elegant yet comfortable setting.
The Mount Edgecombe Country Club Estate is a popular venue for hosting and facilitating corporate days, where top companies from all over South Africa flock to the club for their annual golfing tournaments.
While the golf club is surrounded by thickets of bushveld in a rural setting, it boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including ninety golf carts with an inbuilt GPS system and fully-equipped boardrooms to cater functions in.

Umhlanga Rocks Reviews
Umhlanga Rocks
Umhlanga Rocks has a BUZZ and VIBE, like I have seldom experienced elsewhere!
Absolutely EVERYTHING one could desire, is to be found in this seaside 'village'!

Umhlanga Rocks
Beautiful area where we could take long walks on the beach and we also walked to nearby shops. Unfortunately the public bins was overflowing and pollution spoiled the breathtaking scenery. But the weather was perfect and we enjoyed watching the fishermen from early morning till late at night. Overall it was a wonderful holiday.

Umhlanga Rocks
Not a place we would choose as a holiday destination. Too busy, noisy, crowded. We like to really get away from everything and everyone when we go on holiday.
