Established in 2001, Pezula Championship Golf Club is widely recognised as one of the best and most scenic in the world. Situated along the picturesque, seaside town of Knysna, wraparound views of the Indian Ocean can be viewed from within the grounds. It has been officially rated as a five-star golfing experience and has received numerous accolades since it first opened its doors to the public.
The layout of the grounds was designed by David Dale and Ronald Fream – golf planners who have been dubbed as experts in the field. The level of play is suitable for beginners right through to the professionals, with the course designed to put the competencies of each player to the test. The 13th and 14th holes have been earmarked as the most rewarding challenges, comprising of water hazards and enlarged bunkers.
Golfers who are looking to better their play through practise can make use of the practise area and the putting green. Enthusiasts who want to learn the tricks of the trade can sign up for golf lessons with PGA professionals. For the latest golfing equipment, visitors can browse and purchase a miscellany of goods at the pro shop.
