The Wild Coast Country Club is just one of the many attractions of the large Wild Coast Sun casino and entertainment complex. The Wild Coast resort is found in the Eastern Cape, in an area known as the South Coast, which surprisingly is the northern part of the Wild Coast. It is 1 kilometre from the border with KwaZulu Natal and 5 kilometres from the town of Port Edward.
The Wild Coast Country Club is brimming with facilities and its location is definitely worth writing home about. The golf course is one of the most well-known facilities on offer, being consistently grouped as one of the top 10 golf courses in South Africa.
The course, which was designed by Robert Trent Jones, was first put to the test in 1983 and hasn’t looked back since. It follows the Indian Ocean coastline on a rugged landscape defined by its rivers, ravines, waterfalls, hills and lakes, all of which, believe it or not, are incorporated into the course making for an exciting round of golf to say the least.
The golf course’s conditions undoubtedly provide a challenge to even the most confident of golfers, thanks not only to the landscape and distracting views of the sea, but also the wide fairways, huge greens and winds.
The club’s other facilities include all the golf-related services you can imagine like a pro-shop, gear rental and driving range as well as bowling greens, squash and tennis courts, a beauty spa, club lounge, restaurant, bar and more.
