Hout Bay (van het
Nederlandse woord "Hout baai") is de naam van een kustwijk van
Kaapstad. Het ligt in een
vallei aan zee in de zuidelijke wijken op het Kaapse schiereiland en zo’n 20 kilometer ten zuiden van het centrale zakencentrum van Kaapstad. De naam Hout Bay refereert zowel naar de plaats als de baai waaraan het ligt alsook de gehele vallei.

Hout Bay is a great location. Plenty of restaurants. Easy to get onto Chapman's Peak Drive. Easy to get to the nightlife in Camps Bay. Easy to visit Kirstenbosch and Constantia wine farms... Definitely my favourite place to stay.

Hout Bay is a lovely, sleepy part of Cape Town. Good places to eat at and nice to take a walk on the beach or through the harbour area in the morning. It's one of my favorite places to go for a weekend trip that's close enough but far enough too!
