Wine pairings in the Cape Winelands has become a hugely popular past time amongst vino lovers, where delicious food spreads enhance the aromas and tastes of the best South African reds, whites and roses. If you’re a fan of award-winning wines complemented with baked goods(both sweet and savoury), then you’d best not miss out on this highly anticipated event happening on the sprawling lawns of Nitida Wine Farm on 21 March 2016.
An assortment of innovative sweet treats and savoury bites will be showcased by South Africa’s best bakers, paired with Nitida’s top-notch varietals. The event will be taking place at the farm’s upscale on site restaurant and wedding venue, Cassia. To accommodate the growth of the event, the exhibition space is double the size of last’s years, as there will be an influx of bakers and alternative exhibitors who will be joining in on the event.
There will also be live entertainment and numerous demonstrations to accompany the festivities as well as entertainment for the little ones - think outdoor activities, jumping castles and a kid’s cake decorating tent.
Guests who are looking to relax while nibbling on bite-sized treats and wine-drinking can do so with picnics by the lake, or if you’d prefer to be out of the sunshine, there is plenty of indoor space for guests to lounge around at.
If you like what you taste and want to take some wine or eats home with you, they will be available for purchasing at the event. For your convenience, there will be a snapscan payment option.
Tickets are available online or at the door at R150 per head. Included in the ticket is a signature Nitida wine glass and five bake and wine pairings. If you have kids or don’t drink alcohol, there are non -alcoholic tickets too - meaning you don’t have to miss out on all those delicious baked goods!
