The Durbanville Plaasfees will make you yearn for the simple pleasures in life and reminisce over happy childhood days spent on the plaas. Now in its 11th year running, this farm-fresh festival gives you the space to enjoy community gatherings and a great natural atmosphere. Peruse an eclectic assortment of unique craft stalls and indulge in homegrown food and drink while the kids burn their untapped energy at the entertainment arena.
The next festival takes place on 9 March 2019 at the beautiful Diemersdal Wine Estate in Durbanville, just a short distance from the city centre.
For the market dwellers, browse through the market stalls, and expect to go home with some gorgeous handcrafted knickknackery such as jewellery, clothes, biltong and home-made jams.
Children are also catered for with fun tractors rides, go-karting, wall climb, animal petting and much more.
Of course the festival wouldn’t be complete without some farm fresh goodies to nibble on. Gourmet pancakes, brownies, rosterkoek, freshly baked bread and potjies are just some of fare you can look forward to.
