Stellenbosch Hills gets festive with Fizz & Fudge Summer Pairing from 1 November till end of February 2019.
Soft, buttery fudge. Just the thought makes a mouth water. Now, add the bubbly zing of Polkadraai sparkling wine and you'll discover a match made in tongue-twinging heaven. That's just one of the exciting new pairing extravaganzas to launch for summer at Stellenbosch Hills.
With the awesome Fizz & Fudge Summer Pairing, wine tasting has rarely been so much fun.
For just R40 per person, a duo of Stellenbosch Hills' Polkadraai bubblies can be tasted, each with a custom-made fudge. And it isn't any old fudge either. Created by the boutique Basilei handcrafted confectionary, the treats are the perfect companions as part of the season's hottest couples.
Paired with traditional butter fudge, the Polkadraai Pinot Noir Sparkling Rosé 2018 is a wine that brims with flavours of red berry and strawberry, and a hint of candy floss.
Then, there's the Polkadraai Sauvignon Blanc Brut 2018 whose crisp palate and flavours of tropical fruit are just the ticket when sampled alongside Basilei's delectable chocolate malt fudge.
Just as Stellenbosch Hills takes care to use only the best grapes from a selection of vineyards across on of South Africa's most famous wine regions, so too do brothers Marcos and Istvan Jordaan of Basilei stand by the quality ingredients for their confectionary. That's what you'll get at Stellenbosch Hills this festive season.
The Fizz & Fudge Summer Pairing is on offer at the Stellenbosch Hills Tasting Room from November to February – and only when pre-booked.

The Stellenbosch Hills tasting room is located at the corner of the R310 and Vlottenburg Road, Stellenbosch. The tasting room is open Monday – Friday: 09h00 – 17h00 and Saturdays: 10h00 – 15h00. It’s closed on Sundays and public holidays.
