Embrace the cold this June with the annual Gordon's Bay Winter Wonderland Festival. The event is due to take place from over two weekends, 29 June – 1 July 2018 & 6 – 8 July 2018 at Hendon Park, Gordon's Bay.
The scenic seaside village of Gordon's Bay, known for its temperate waters and tranquil way of life, will transform into an enchanted fairyland of lights. Apart from the magical lights illuminating the venue, attendees will be able to purchase a miscellany of local wares at the craft market and partake in a number of family-orientated programmes. While the lineup has not yet been released, if previous years are anything to go by, one can look forward to a two-day event of fun, good food, live music and fresh air. The hungry and thirsty can enjoy a round of beers at the beer tent and gourmet grub from various food stalls.
Now in its 8th year running, the initiative was brought into being by Gordon's Bay Business Forum, a group provides local businessmen with a platform for exchanging ideas and information. The aims of the festival are to put Gordons Bay on the map, to provide locals with the opportunity to supplement their incomes and raising much-needed funds for local charities.
Despite its humble beginnings, the festival has grown exponentially over the years as a result of the communities dedication toward developing Gordon's Bay, making it an even more attractive destination for tourists.
