Harfield Village Carnival 2019 - 8
On the 6th April 2019, the vibey Second Avenue Street near Kenilworth will be closed off for the annual Harfield Village community carnival. The road, which is generally characterised by the roars of traffic, will see an entire village comes to life as locals partake in this much-anticipated Cape Town festival. The pavements will be a thrum of activity where over 200 odd craft, clothes and food stalls will be showcasing a wide variety of their wares. With the festival gaining popularity over the years, this year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
Attendees can expect anything and everything from delicious cuisine and crafted beer to handcrafted decor and eclectic clothing stalls - there is certainly a little something in store for everyone.
Children are a high priority at the Harfield Village Carnival, where the designated 'kiddies corner' will provide endless hours of entertainment for the youngsters - from face painting and magic tricks to jumping castles and carnival-styled games.
The event starts at 9am and goes on well into the evening. For night dwellers looking for a bit of a party, the after party is not-be-missed!
