Jozi Summer Shine 2015 - 10
If you enjoy your fair share of Rnb and House music, then you'd better not miss out on the inaugural Jozi Summer Shine Festival. The event takes place on the 13th of December 2015 at the Marks Park Sport's Club in Emmerentia.
The one-day event will be joining forces with Kaya FM Dance Ritual to provide concert-goers with a unique 'Afro-politan' experience. Says Greg Maloka, Kaya FM Managing Director: "the decision to merge is to share Dance Ritual with a larger music audience. Our recent award as Dance Nation of the World at the prestigious 2015 DJ Awards in Ibiza was a clear indicator that Dance Ritual is more than an event, but a cultural movement and Jozi Summershine provides the platform”.
There will be an array of live music performances comprising of up-and-coming local musicians and international stars. Headlining the event is Rnb Legend and multi-award winner, Musiq Soulchild. The performance by Musiq Soulchild, who's known for his hit songs 'Scratch Introlude' and 'Newness', is said to be one of the most anticipated international live acts of 2015. House veteran Louie Vega, who's been in the industry for over 25 years, will be bringing some Latin house flavour to South African shores. Other acts to look forward to include the local singer/songwriter Majozi and South Africa's favourite A Capella group, The Soil.
While centred around the music, concert-goers can also look forward to sampling top-end whisky and award-winning wines, both of which will be available for purchasing during the event. For the hungry, a selection of quality street grub can be nibbled on throughout the day at the eclectic selection of food stalls.
