mmm McGregor Festival 2016 - 5
McGregor will be hosting their third annual Mmm McGregor Festival on the 24 & 25 September 2016. The event is due to take place at its usual stomping ground, the NG Kerk Hall and Gardens found in the heart of the town.
McGregor is one of the few places in the world which lies directly on ley lines, making it a sacred site for spiritualists, artists and healers. What makes this quaint town all the more attractive is that it's a mere two hours drive from Cape Town - the perfect retreat for jaded urbanites.
Linking creativity to the art and celebration of fine cuisine, this event brings together a myriad of galleries, entertainment and eateries. Attendees can sample wines found in McGregor or enjoy a range of meals in the kitchens of the town's most renowned cooks. Alternatively, peruse through masterful artworks by locals artists. Local wineries and food producers will be offering tastings in the main ‘Marketplace’, and you can also visit other venues in a plentiful programme.
Last year's events and entertainment included the dance show, ‘Quaff & Quiz’ - a cabaret production with a bit of comedy thrown into the mix and the 'FeastSpring Brunch in the Bush'.
