Proe Paarl Food and Wine Festival 2015 - 11

Proe Paarl and Wine Festival is a celebration of the sights, sounds and taste of South Africa's third oldest town. The two-day event takes place on the 28-29 November 2015 at the iconic Taal Monument.

Visitors to the festival will not only bear witness to a culturally-rich town but will have the opportunity to drive down South Africa's longest main road - boasting 12kms of oak-lined streets and Cape Dutch buildings.

Sprawl on the rolling greens, enjoy the spectacular views of Paarl while sipping and swirling the finest wines the region has to offer. Visitors will be able to sample award-winning wines paired with delicious gourmet street food at a selection of food stalls. These meals will be specially prepared by top-notch local restaurants.

If you've got kids, bring them along with you. Kiddies Corner will keep them entertained for hours with jumping castles, face painting sessions or allow them to nibble on some candy floss or popcorn.

While the wines and gourmet foods are the main attractions of the event, festival-goers can also enjoy an array of live music performances by local artists as well as numerous arts and community stalls.

Music lovers can jam out to the likes of Adagio, Bootleggers, Peter Van, and many others.

If you're up for a bit of a challenge, partake in Proe Paarl's outdoor adventures, 'Proe Paarl Ride the Vines' or 'Proe Paarl Run the Vines'. The MTB trails promise spectacular views of Paarl while the trail runs take you through to the Taal Monument and beyond.
